چکیده
This study focuses on using a facile method for the green preparation of activated carbon (AC) from palm tree fiber (PTF) waste. The synthesized cost-effective AC was investigated removal an anionic dye (Congo red, CR) and cationic (Rhodamine B, RhB) wastewater. morphological structural characterization were performed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission (TEM), surface area, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), total pore volume, average diameter size distribution, zeta potential, zero-point charge. To investigate adsorption efficiency, different parameters such as adsorbent dosage, solution pH, initial concentration, duration applied batch experiments. Various isotherm kinetics models to mechanism dynamics. results showed that chemical activation with weak acid (H3PO4) at 400 °C 30 min is fast each precursor produces high yield. result analysis increase in capacity pH 2. maximum 9.79 26.58 mg g−1 CR RhB dye, respectively. optimum dosage (PTFAC) 0.15 g percentage (98.24%) (99.86%) dyes. kinetic studies found be favorable feasible assessing dyes Langmuir model pseudo-second-order reaction, In addition, reusability up five cycles. environmentally friendly successfully removed

متن کاملRemoval of Cationic Dyes from Aqueous Solution using Organomodified Nanoclay
In this work, organomodified nanoclay has been used as the adsorbent for the removal ofbasic blue 41, cationic dye from an aqueous solution. The performance of the organomodified nanoclay was tested in a batch system under varying pH (2–12), adsorbent dosage (0.1–2 g L-1), initial dye concentration (10–60 mgL-1), and contact time (5- 100 min). The best conditions were achieved at pH of 7,...

This paper reports on synthesis of a magnetic adsorbent for wastewater treatment purposes. In this regard, platanus orientalis waste leaves were chosen as a cheap material for preparing the magnetic adsorbent by loading magnetite nanoparticles on it. The synthesized adsorbent was characterized using scanning electron microscope and X-ray diffractometer. Then, it was used for magnetic solid phas...
متن کاملRemoval of Anionic Dyes (Direct Blue 106 and Acid Green 25) from Aqueous Solutions Using Oxidized Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes
Background and purpose:The presence of dyes in wastewaters may cause serious problems for the environment because of their high toxicity to aquatic organisms and unfavorable aesthetical impact. In the present study, multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were used for removal of anionic dyes Direct Blue 106 (DB106) and Acid Green 25 (AG25), from water samples. Materials and Methods:MWCNTs were ...
